Foundation medical laboratory North is your partner in laboratoriumdiagnostiek Foundation medical laboratory has accommodated North (SMLN) since 2001 all laboratory activities of laboratory North. Clinically chemical, hematologisch and immunological laboratory investigation is conducted on application of general practitioners and obstetricians (first line) and of specialists (second line). The first research is performed in the central laboratory to the Damsterdiep in Groningen.
The following hospitals have categorised their laboratory activities at SMLN:
* Ommelander hospitals, location Delfzicht at Delfzijl
* Martini hospital in Groningen
* Refaja hospital at town canal
* Wilhelmina hospital at Assen
Moreover laboratory activities are performed for GGz Drenthe.
SMLN organise the hospital laboratories and guarantee 24 hours per day, 7 days per week laboratory service in every hospital. Within all laboratories identical reference values apply to all laboratory provisions.
